Race area:

Eastern Ore Mountains, determined by municipalities of Litvinov, Flaje, Cesky Jiretin, Schellerhau, Altenberg, Zinnwald, Cinovec, Dubi, Hrob, Osek and Lom.

Terrain:

Hilly terrain, broken relief, elevation between 350 – 956 m above sea level, matching highland- or mountain-type surrounding. Terrain mainly covered by forest with middle density of paths and trails, somewhere steep slopes. On the ridge of Ore Mountains there are some peat bogs surrounded by thick brakes of Carpathian pine.

Punching system:

Electronic SI (Sport-Ident) system; SI chips could be borrowed from organizers.
!!! Every competitor has to have it's own SI chip !!!
The SI chips can be borrowed from organizers on demand. For the 24-hour rogaine a high capacity SI 6 chip is necessary. Of course teams which are planning to visit lower number of check points can use older chip version SI 5, but any check point over the chip capacity (33 check points) won't be accepted.

Classes:

According to the IRF rules:
24 hours - MO, WO, XO, MV, WV, XV, MJ, WJ, XJ
12 hours - MO 12, WO 12, XO 12
6 hours - MO 6, WO 6, XO 6

A team consists of 2-5 members.
M - all men, W - all women, X - at least one man and one woman;
V - Veteran classes, all team members must be 40 years old or older;
J - Junior classes, all team members must be 20 years old or younger.

All team members must pass the whole race together. If any member of a team gives up the race his/her team is obliged to come to finish and end up the race.

Participation conditions:

Any participant younger than 18 years has to be accompanied by a team colleague older than 18 year. Participants younger than 16 years can take part in the rogaining only with a written consent of his/her parents or legitimate representative.

Entry fees:

12 and 24 hour rogaine:
Entry & payment up to 31. 5. 2009: 13,- €
Entry & payment up to 21. 6. 2009: 14,- €
After 21. 6. 2009: 18,- €

6 hour rogaine (no hash house refreshment):
Entry & payment up to 31. 5. 2009: 5,- €
Entry & payment up to 21. 6. 2009: 6,- €
After 21. 6. 2009: 6,- €
The fees described above are calculated per one person of a team. Entry includes starting fee, accommodation in the event area (tent from Friday to Sunday), showers close to the center, parking nearby the event center, refreshment in the hash house for 12 and 24 hour rogainers.

The entry has to include a team name or name of club, name and surname of each team member, their date of birth, class, SI chip numbers or request to borrow them, contact e-mail and the number of account used for payment of the entry fee.

Accommodation:

Own tents in restricted area at the event center (Ski-Stadium in Nove Mesto)
Toilets and drinking water at the event center, showers cca 700 m aside.
More comfortable accommodation is available in numerous hostels in Nove Mesto or Moldava. We can help you whenever you ask us in a mail. During the rogaining competition only the tent accommodation at the event centre is allowed.

Classification:

Each check point is marked in the map and in control description together with its value varying from 30 to 90 points. The number and order of control points is up to discretion of each team (go-as-you-please). Passing of each control point has to be marked by inserting SI chip into the SI unit. Each control point is equipped by white-red lampion of size 30x30 cm, SI unit and punches (just for case of SI unit failure). The final ranking of each team depend on the sum of the points gained. In case of the equal point result the better time wins. Exceeding of given time limit: each started minute equals to 20 point penalization. If the time limit is exceeded by more than 30 minutes, team will not be classified.

Parking:

Nearby the event center, please respect organizers’ instructions.

Transport:

One’s own, organizers do not provide.

Refreshment:

During the race a non-stop buffet (hash house) in the event center will be available for 12- and 24-hour Rogainers. Non-stop buffet in the center.

The race takes place both in Germany and Czech Republic. Each participant has to have his/her ID card during the whole race. Taking part in the rogaining race is on the own risk of every competitor.
